Job Summary:

The Principal Solution Engineer is a key member of the Enterprise Architecture organization. Key responsibilities of the role include: building cutting-edge software and services in the healthcare and business domains, optimizing existing solutions and workflows, developing innovative solutions to emerging problem statements. The Principal Solution Engineer is responsible for engaging with the enterprise architecture team to identify potential solutions to complex technical problems. The Engineer is expected to learn new tools, platforms, and languages as necessary to accomplish the tasks at hand. They should be well versed in modern architecture and implementation standards and keep an eye on high-performance systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in multiple programming languages, infrastructure standards, application integration patterns, and thrive in a highly collaborative environment.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Participate as a member of a high-performance Agile team. Participate in architectural reviews and propose alternative solutions. Collaborate with application engineering teams, data engineering teams, and business automation teams. Interface with business stakeholders to gather an understanding of use cases and workflows. Educate peers on best practices and cutting-edge solutions Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Required Minimum Education:

  • Bachelors Computer Science or Masters Computer Science-Preferred

    Required Minimum Experience:

    Minimum 7 years Experience in software engineering, process automation, or architecture Required Experience in designing, developing, and deploying full-stack applications. Required Experience with event-drive architectures Required Experience with on-prem and cloud computing Required Experience with application virtualization and containerization Required Experience with SSO systems (e.g. OAuth2, SAML) Required Experience implementing AI/ML models in production environments (cloud, edge, or on-premise). Preferred Hands-on experience with MLOps pipelines, model versioning, and CI/CD for AI deployment. Preferred Experience working with healthcare data (e.g. EHRs, imaging, genomics, claims data, FHIR/HL7 standards). Preferred

    Required Minimum Skills:

    Strong knowledge of database management and query languages (SQL, NoSQL, BigQuery, Snowflake Proficiency with multiple programming languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python, Kotlin, NodeJS)
