Job Summary:

The Enterprise Architect is a crucial member of the Enterprise Architecture team, responsible for designing and implementing robust IT architecture solutions that support our mission to deliver world-class healthcare. The Enterprise Architect will work closely with the Executive Director of Enterprise Architecture to ensure alignment with organizational goals and strategies. An Enterprise Architect is responsible for developing and maintaining architecture models that align with Wellstar's business objectives and IT strategy. This role involves evaluating and integrating new technologies into the existing architecture to ensure seamless interoperability and scalability. The Enterprise Architect establishes and enforces architectural standards and best practices across IT projects, working closely with various IT and business teams to understand requirements and provide architectural solutions that meet their needs. Additionally, the role includes creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation of the enterprise architecture, including diagrams, standards, and guidelines. The Enterprise Architect identifies opportunities for innovation and improvement within the IT architecture, driving efficiency and effectiveness. They assess and mitigate risks associated with architectural decisions and implementations, providing technical guidance and support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires a proactive approach to risk management and a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation within the IT architecture.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Define architecture designs of enterprise-wide solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. Conduct architecture reviews, risk assessments, and technical due diligence for new projects and solutions. Develop and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks, principles, and best practices to support business goals. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement with peers and partner teams. Document and communicate architecture designs, decisions, and roadmaps effectively. Required Minimum Education:

  • Bachelors Computer Science or Masters Information Technology-Preferred

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):

All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

    Required Minimum Experience:

    Minimum 7 years Software engineering or software architecture Required Proven experience breaking down large business problem statements into bite-sized technical solutions. Required Expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-native architecture. Required Expertise in microservices, API management, DevOps, and containerization technologies. Required Experience designing and implementing enterprise integration strategies. Required Experience leading project or product management. Preferred Experience with healthcare platforms. Preferred

    Required Minimum Skills:

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to align technology with business strategy. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Certification in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman). In-depth understanding of IT security principles, data governance, and regulatory compliance. Knowledge of emerging technologies and their potential impact on healthcare. Knowledge of AI/ML, IoT, and blockchain technologies.
