Facility: Wellstar MCG Health, Inc.

Wellstar is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our General Cardiology team in Augusta, GA. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients with a variety of cardiovascular conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct outpatient clinic visits including follow-ups, consults, and pre-/post-operative assessments

• Perform thorough cardiovascular assessments and develop treatment plans under the supervision of a cardiologist

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., EKGs, echocardiograms, lab work)

• Manage chronic cardiovascular conditions such as hypertension, coronary artery disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias

• Educate patients on heart health, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence

• Participate in care coordination, quality improvement initiatives, and multidisciplinary team meetings

• Ensure documentation meets clinical and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Georgia

• Certification as an NP ( AGACNP, or AGPCNP) or PA-C

• At least 1–2 years of experience in cardiology or internal medicine preferred

• Strong clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment
