Job Summary:

The Labor Management and Optimization Expert Position reports directly to Director, Labor Management and Optimization. Key responsibilities of the role include: Provides analysis services and project support to business partners through process optimizations, systems management, general reporting, data analysis and operational dashboards within the HR and Total Rewards domain. As such, the analyst is responsible for assessing customer requirements, capturing relevant processes, developing optional models, and collaborating on best practice approaches to achieve desired outcomes. Though focused on HR solutions, this subject matter expert analyst role acts independently to provide services and information that translates into and supports improved operations across the enterprise. Impact of this role in the organization: This role promotes excellent customer service with strong communication skills to ensure the success of all assigned duties. Works with members of IT, HRIS and other teams in clinical and operational departments to accomplish the goals established for the project or the operations of the assigned application or process This section serves multiple purposes: The analyst maintains competencies to manage multiple projects with high levels of complexity, identifies risks, evaluates options and provides recommendations for milestones in jeopardy. Independently leads projects such as system level process changes and product upgrades all the while maintaining a high degree of customer coordination. The role may lead and or materially engage in processes that require RFP / RFI's and decision analysis including financial and functional analysis. In addition to individual contributor duties, this expert analyst will leverage previous leadership experience to provide informal leadership and mentorship to peers at the Senior level or below. Mentorship tasks may include guidance on preparing project plans, milestones, budgets, staffing plans, implementation checklists, interface configurations, system audits, functional / process audits, etc.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Functional Process Development and Support * Works directly with leadership to understand business requirements as well as current and desired state * Designs and implements best practice workflows and reports to ensure high level of user adoption * Sources and analyzes complex data across HR platforms to support domain specific efficiency initiatives * Defines measurable KPIs for projects and operations and continually validates value gained from work inputs * Completes advanced research and analysis of complex issues; mentors peers on how to troubleshoot * Defines support plans independently; ability to know when to contact vendor and manage vendor tasks to resolution; oversees development of testing and QA scripts * Develops tools and defines goals to measure effectiveness of idea; communicates, analyzes and implements results as appropriate * Analyzes quality standards for tasks and provides feedback to coworkers; responsible for quality review of team projects and creating a remediation plan for any issues identified * Total Rewards domain expert on data integration and visualization Customer Support * Identifies and understands business impact and negotiates a mutually agreeable expectation to complex problems * Engages customers and site evaluations independently and define options and recommendations * Documents customer requirements and expectations for large or multiple projects with one or two disciplines; assists and serves as a resource for meeting deadlines with large or multiple project or tasks * Recommends solutions based on past experiences or analysis of problems within team; understanding the ramifications for problems within own team or other teams and customer base * Independently develops customer requirement documents; reviews and provides guidance to other members of the team * Identifies and implements work arounds for system limitations * Demonstrates mastery of application or technical function and how they interact with other systems Team Communications * Develops action plans for meetings and follow through on assigned tasks * Writes and reviews documentation as well as the planning and preparation of policies * Produces concise decision documents; produces effective leadership presentations * Prioritizes and selects knowledge needed for team Finance * Assists with the creation of project budgets under close supervision; assists with the maintenance, adjustment and reconciliation of the budget for small to medium sized projects and or teams * Demonstrates understanding of basic contracting terms Work Execution / Vendor Management * Serves as a vendor liaison and manages vendor commitments for at least one vendor, where applicable * Develops work and staffing plans for simple project or project with limited scope * Identifies action plan and potential solution to address crisis situations Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Required Minimum Education:

  • Bachelors Information Systems or Bachelors Mathematics or Bachelors Engineering or Bachelors Other or Associates Information Technology or Masters Other-Preferred

    Required Minimum Experience:

    Minimum 1 year of formal people leadership Required or informal team lead experience (or combination therein) Required and Minimum 1 year of enterprise level project management and customer service accountability Required and Minimum 6 years of assessing customer requirements, relevant process / data capture and solution design Required and Minimum 6 years of experience in executive story telling Required and Minimum 6 years of data analysis working with large, complex data sets Required
