Facility: Wellstar MCG Health Warm Springs, Inc.

Job Summary:

Provides supportive services to therapist during patient treatment; transports patients; maintains clean environment in the therapy gym; cleans equipment between patient use; cleans wheelchairs.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

• Provides routine, repetitive and supportive activities with OT/PT/SLP; provides transport to and from therapy to assist with meeting funding and regulatory requirements for billable treatment minutes; performs support duties to maintain efficiency in the therapy department; assists in patient care for carryover from therapy to nursing unit.

• Maintains treatment space and equipment to ensure safe operations including cleaning of equipment to decrease risk of hospital acquired infections and assist w/ staff health and safety.

• Participates in hospital and discipline specific skills check: Demonstrates competency through completion of didactic training and testing as well as demonstration of skills specific to their position and skill set as well as skills obtained at RWSH.

Required Minimum Education:

• High School diploma or GED Required

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):

All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

• BLS - Basic Life Support from American Heart Association

Required Minimum Experience:

• Minimum 1 year hands on patient care Required

• Minimum 1 year therapy clinic Required
