Job Summary:
The Wellstar Foundation Public Grants Manager is responsible for the overall direction, planning and administration of public grant activities including identification, application, evaluation, and training. The Manager will join a dynamic and evolving Foundation team that is committed to and poised for significant growth as part of the Wellstar Foundation Roadmap to Transformation. As such, the Manager will be responsible for contributing to and promoting a culture of innovation, productivity, and accountability toward achieving this transformational growth.
The Manager will have responsibility for grant proposal preparation including funder research, grant writing and budget development in support of capital projects, patient services, population health, community outreach and quality improvement for all Wellstar entities. This leader will oversee comprehensive grant management activities that include compliance with funder guidelines, technical support, reporting reminders, and recordkeeping in support of public grants to Wellstar entities. In addition, this individual is responsible for training program staff and collaboration with Foundation staff as needed. Responsible for reporting on grant funding progress and activities to Wellstar leadership.

Key Responsibilities

* b.Actively participate in strategic planning with the Foundation Leadership Team and with the overall department

Required Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree in business, resource development, marketing, communications other related field.
Required or
Master's Degree Preferred

All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

Required Minimum Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in public grant administration. Required

This position requires a professional whose background demonstrates the ability to work independently, think strategically and request assistance or consult as needed to achieve designated goals.
Proven track record in identifying and securing substantial government grants, federal, state and local levels,
