Job Summary:


The Executive Director of Organizational Effectiveness is responsible creating a true OE strategy and owning initiatives at Wellstar. They will create strategies in partnership and alignment with the business with direct responsibilities in the areas of executive development and leadership planning, change management, career development, mentoring, executive coaching, organizational development, culture change and strategy development. This role requires strong executive presence, and 8-10+ years' experience in organizational effectiveness-related roles. Additionally, it requires a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role with related scope. The role will be instrumental in creating high-visibility programs and enhancing the overall experience of our talent and team effectiveness at the Wellstar Health System.
The role will work very close with the Chief Learning Officer and other OL leadership to develop and maintain OL budgets. This individual will also provide oversight to existing programing and services.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:


Establishing an Organizational Effectiveness Team (Change Management, Strategy Alignment, Talent Pipeline Development)
* Direct oversight for change management/leadership strategy in partnership with Enterprise Project Management Office and stakeholders from across the Wellstar System. Owns team member and leader development around change management to support organizational transformation.
* Creates tools and approaches for strategy integration/alignment across the Wellstar system to enhance organizational effectiveness; Supports and manages overall HR Strategy and aligned focus area initiatives.
* Responsible for fiscal oversight in terms of creating and monitoring OE expenses to be aligned with projections.
Leading Planning, Assessment & Development of Leadership and Key Talent Pipelines
* Partnership and direct oversight of key executive leadership development initiatives to include HiPo and Executive Development planning, Executive Coaching and Leadership Assessments.
* Direct responsibility for owning key talent pipelines, and leveraging data related to the skills and capabilities of critical talent segments (i.e., HiPos) to inform development offerings and enhance partnership with executive recruiting.
* Leads succession planning strategy and creates robust talent pipeline metrics.
* Establishes an approach to leadership assessments at Wellstar to include development and leader potential assessments
* Responsible for fiscal oversight in terms of executive development cost center.
* Direct oversight and leadership of mentoring, career development and employee development programs; Creates robust metrics related to training utilizing Kirkpatricks levels of evaluation for programmatic assessment.
Participates as active part of WellStar Senior Leadership to assist in identifying and achieving corporate strategic goals and ensuring mission, vision and values are incorporated into the OL function
* Maintains detailed knowledge of System strategies and objectives; identifies opportunities for improvement and ensures division and system initiatives are consistent with and contributing to System objectives.
* Maintains knowledge of healthcare environment both locally and nationally to identify opportunities and threats; communicates internally as appropriate and incorporates into planning process.
* Actively participates with leadership and other teams that support System goal achievement.
* Provides communication and feedback to Executive Leadership; Administrators and direct reports.

Required Minimum Education:


Master's Degree in business, leadership, organizational development, or organizational learning.

All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

    Required Minimum Experience:


    Minimum 10 years experience in learning, HR or OE with a track record of strong strategy and execution skills. Required and
    Must have experience working in larger systems (over 10,000 employees) and comfort working at an executive level with budgets, financial systems, leading enterprise-wide initiatives

    Must be organized and have the ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems.
    This individual must have good interpersonal skills and be able to build and lead a team.
