Facility: Wellstar Summit Surgical

Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a certified Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our established Surgical Oncology group in Marietta, GA. The group is currently comprised of 2 physicians and 12 advanced practitioners. APPs work Monday-Friday in the hospital, office and the OR as well as the possibility of taking some call on designated weekends and nights.

Some additional responsibilities include providing healthcare services to patients under the direction and responsibility of a physician. Performing comprehensive and problem focused histories and physical examinations, interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests. Develop a treatment plan within the scope of practice and in conjunction with the physician. Exercise judgment on conditions requiring consultation, referral, or evaluation by the supervising physician or other healthcare professional.

Required Minimum Education Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner training program. Previous inpatient and surgery experience as an APP strongly preferred. Required Minimum Skills Current licensure as a physician assistant or nurse practitioner in the State of Georgia.
