We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to assess, plan, and implement rehabilitative programs aimed at restoring or improving patients’ daily living activities, mobility, cognitive functions, strength, coordination, and range of motion after injury or illness. You will deliver services across various settings with a focus on quality, cost-effectiveness, and patient-centered care, while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Core Responsibilities:

Patient Assessment

  • Collaborate with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment programs, care plans, goals, and discharge plans tailored to patients' occupational therapy needs.

  • Develop care plans in partnership with patients and their families.

  • Create realistic discharge plans that reflect the goals of patients and family members.

Treatment Planning and Care Provision

  • Implement occupational therapy treatment plans.

  • Select appropriate activities to help patients achieve their goals.

  • Revise goals and care plans based on patient and family input.

  • Provide ongoing education and training for patients and families.

  • Offer discharge instructions and referrals to community resources as needed.

  • Serve as a resource for staff, families, and physicians regarding rehabilitation services and equipment.

Documentation

  • Document evaluations and care plans in accordance with departmental guidelines.

  • Maintain records of each treatment session per departmental protocols.

  • Complete required documentation, including family education and discharge instructions, following facility guidelines.

Required Minimum Education:

  • Master's or Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy.

Required Licenses and Certifications:

  • Occupational Therapist licensure (required upon hire).

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or Instructor certification.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years as an Occupational Therapist.

Required Skills:

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

  • Team-oriented mindset.

  • Basic computer proficiency.
