Job Summary:

The Charge Entry Specialist performs charge identification and charges entry on all assigned outpatient accounts by reviewing charge tickets and chart documentation. Requests service codes for new items used from the Charge master Coordinator. Enters/removes charges identified for correct claim submission and be a resource for clinical staff and providers.

Required Education:

Trade School Diploma/Degree General Required.  Associates Preferred.

Required Experience:

Minimum 1 year coding education or training Required or Minimum 2 years data entry, healthcare billing, coding, or clinical area Preferred and CPC - Cert Prof Coder Upon Hire Preferred.
