Facility: Paulding Hospital

Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a a Physician Assistant or acute care nurse practitioner (with surgical experience) to join Wellstar Orthopedics and Sports Medicine at Wellstar Paulding location.

Exciting opportunity to expand your career as an Orthopedic PA within our rapidly growing Musculoskeletal service line at Wellstar.

The Paulding location is currently comprised of 2 sports medicine physicians plus support staff with plans to grow, including adding total joints, hand surgery as well as additional future advanced practice providers.

Satellite office and OR time at the ASC at Wellstar Acworth Health Park will be part of the role.

Responsibilities include seeing clinic patients, inpatient rounding and first assisting in the OR as needed. Currently the role will be heavy clinic but could evolve as needs change and practice grows.

Ideal candidates will have orthopedics, sports medicine and/or athletic training experience prior to PA school, during PA rotations or as a Physician Assistant.

Must be motivated, adaptable and a fast learner. After an orientation period, the provider will be responsible for their own panel of patients, so working autonomously is something they must be comfortable with eventually.
