You know that nursing is a calling – one that requires grit and stamina. It’s a career for the kindhearted – not fainthearted. It demands you remain flexible, think critically, stay positive, learn constantly, and keep yourself engrained in each moment. You are always striving to be the kind of nurse you’d want on your own team. That’s what makes you the kind of nurse we’d be proud to have on ours.
Nursing Professional Practice Model
Our nursing mission “Caring Compassionately, Practicing Professionally” centers around our patients, families, and communities. In the residency program, we will guide you through each of the 5 components of our practice model to advance your professional nursing practice.
Helping our nurses stay healthy
We understand that a healthy caregiver provides better patient outcomes. Your health – mental and physical – is critical for your own success. Our care psychologists and nursing leaders help Wellstar nurses identify resiliency strategies, stress management, and self-care early on so that you can care for yourself – and your patients – throughout your entire career.
