The IT Internal Auditor 2 is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed care givers who ensure that patients, families and significant others receive individualized high quality, safe patient care. It is expected that all RN Clinical Nurses – are licensed, knowledgeable and uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and implements the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association.

Job Summary:
The Information Technology (IT) Internal Auditor II is responsible for the audit process over IT systems, platforms and operations in accordance with information systems and internal auditing standards, established Wellstar Health System policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations. Evaluate IT infrastructure in terms of risk to the organization and establish controls to mitigate the loss. Determine and recommend improvements in current risk management controls and implementation of system changes or upgrades. Serve as the IT subject matter expert and liaison for internal audit. Provide data analytics where needed. Possess the capability to lead and direct the work of others. The auditor must be capable of working independently or as part of a team.
Required Minimum Education:
- Bachelors Computer Science Required
- Bachelors Business Administration/Management Required
- Bachelors Information Systems Required
Required Minimum Experience:
- Minimum 5 years Auditing experience Required
- Minimum 3 years related IT work experience Required
- Minimum 3 years health care experience Preferred
Required Minimum Skills:
- Proven experience in auditing IT operations, data, network infrastructure and control frameworks
- Strong project management, facilitation and presentation skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of risk assessment, internal audit standards, concepts and techniques
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interface and work with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional and technical disciplines
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office and proficient in Computer Assisted Auditing Techniques (CAATs), e.g. SAS, ACL, and/or IDEA
- Working knowledge of Epic, a plus.

- CISA Upon Hire Required
- Certified Internal Auditor Preferred
- Certified Fraud Examiner Preferred
- Certified Information System Security Pro Preferred
- Certified Public Accountant Preferred
