Wellstar Columbia County Medical Center is opening in August 2026, and you have an opportunity to be a part of the Wellstar community. Wellstar Columbia County Medical Center marks the next chapter in Wellstar’s ongoing commitment to expand access to world-class care across Georgia. Our new six-story, 254,000-square-foot hospital will bring full-service acute care closer to home for people in Columbia County and surrounding communities. 
 
Wellstar Columbia County will include:
  • 100 inpatient beds - 16 intensive care and 84 medical-surgical
  • Six operating rooms
  • Two catheterization/interventional radiology rooms
  • Two endoscopy rooms
  • 19-room Emergency Department - expected to become a Level II Trauma Center
  • Helipad for rapid critical care transport
  • On-site pharmacy with Meds-to-Beds program
