Located on the campus of Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center, Florence Hand Home is a Medicare- and Medicaid-certified facility offering short-term rehabilitative services for post-hospitalized patients and long-term care. This 150-bed skilled and intermediate nursing facility provides continuous access to physicians, surgical support services and 24-hour emergency room service.

Responsibilities

Registered Nurses at Florence Hand Home are responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation.  Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards.  Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.  Serves in the resource nurse role when oriented and as directed.  Supports the health system's vision and mission.  Utilizes knowledge of patient's age and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care.  Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.
