The Physician - PRN General Surgeon - LaGrange is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed care givers who ensure that patients, families and significant others receive individualized high quality, safe patient care. It is expected that all RN Clinical Nurses – are licensed, knowledgeable and uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and implements the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association.

Facility: Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center
Overview:
Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible General Surgeon to join our Surgical team at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center located in LaGrange, Georgia. This is a PRN position to help cover weekend hospital call.
The Surgical Hospitalist is responsible for surgical consults, surgeries and follow-ups at the hospital while covering call.
Qualifications:
Required Minimum Education
- A MD or DO
- Applicants must be licensed or eligible for license in the State of Georgia Required
- Applicants must have completed the necessary Residency training requisite for their given specialty and be Certified or qualified for Certifications by their respective specialty Board
Required Minimum Skills
- It is expected that applicants will possess skills commensurate with their given specialty.
- Applicants will be expected to show proof of competency for clinical skills applied for.
