Facility: Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center

This is a .60 role shift position located at the Roosevelt Warm Springs Hospital.

Two 12 hour shifts per week, every other weekend), Day and Evening Available

Job Summary:

Assist with direct patient care to maintain patient safety and ensure direct care is provided under the direction of the Registered Nurse.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Performs patient care duties as assigned to include but not limited to bathing, toileting, feeding, grooming patients, keeps patients safe and free from harm. Performs vital sign checks and ensures the out of range vitals are reported timely to the nurse.

Maintains awareness of patient behavior and physical whereabouts at all times. Rounds on patients as needed. Responds to call lights timely and ensures patients are safe. Provides care as needed, leaves call light within reach and bed in low position when leaving the room.

Provides for a clean, attractive environment by keeping room free of clutter, trash emptied, and equipment in appropriate locations in the room without electrical cords on floor.

Provides assistance to patients as requested while keeping patients safe, participates in patient's plan of care as directed by nurse. Assists with admission and discharge procedures for the patients. Transfers patients utilizing safe patient handling equipment and transfers.

Documents into the EMR when care is provided accurately and reports out of range vitals immediately to the nurse. Responds to patient request with

courtesy and maintains privacy.

Required Minimum Education:

High school diploma or GED Required

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):

Basic Life Support Required
Cert Nurse Assistant Preferred

Required Minimum Experience:

Minimum 1 year experience in patient care as a CNA or patient care provider. Required

Minimum 2 years experience in CNA work Preferred
