To this end, the Wellstar Medical Group is excited to announce an opportunity for Licensed Clinical Social Worker to support the needs of the Wellstar South Cobb market in Austell, GA.

Located in south Cobb County, Wellstar Cobb Hospital is a 382-bed hospital serving a diverse west Atlanta suburban population. Wellstar Cobb offers a continuum of psychiatric services, including a free-standing 32-bed adult inpatient behavioral health unit, a 7-day per week consultation-liaison psychiatry service, and a new outpatient psychiatric clinic.

The Behavioral Health Consultant provides services in an ambulatory clinic located on the Wellstar Cobb Hospital campus. (S)He will work alongside outpatient psychiatrists, and psychologists, – all working collaborative to provide world-class psychiatric care to a heterogenous population of patients with primary psychiatric and/or substance use disorders.

Overview of Duties/Responsibilities

This is a full-time 40 hour per week position. 

Required Minimum Education:

• Experience working in the ambulatory setting or in a hospital setting is preferred.
• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited School of social work is required.
• Master’s degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an accredited program is required. 
• Current Georgia License as LCSW, LMFT, or LPC is required.
• Three years' experience in a health-related field, mental health, and behavioral health is required for this position.
