Job Summary: The IT Supervisor Foundational Infrastructure position reports directly to the Manager of Enterprise Hosting. This position is responsible for the day to day management of the Storage and Computing teams which is made up of engineers focused in those areas. These systems are the foundational hardware providing services across the system. This role will still be hands on providing additional support as required to the storage and computing environments. The team supports an environment that provides services for 30k+ users across a large healthcare system. Key responsibilities of the role include: -Supervise the day-to-day operations of the organization's operational IT infrastructure. This role will primarily deal with the operational aspects of the storage and computing environments. -Plans, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot infrastructure. -Must be well rounded from a technology perspective to include, but not limited to, Server Operating Systems, Desktop Operating Systems, VMware, SAN storage systems, Network, and monitoring platforms. -Responsible for monitoring service requests, incidents, and tasks for the team as well as any day-to-day maintenance tasks. -Manage resource time & availability working between operational and project tasks -Manage team ticket queues in ServiceNow and provide required reporting -Hands on support of infrastructure may be necessary as required As the Supervisor for Foundational Infrastructure, you will be responsible for leading and assisting other technical staff in resolving technical issues and other daily operational activities. This is a very important role as this team provides critical project build resources and T3+ support and escalations of operational support of hardware platforms. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Operational Day-to-Day tasks - Monitor tickets to ensure they are addressed within appropriate SLAs - Maintenance tasks that need to be accomplished decommissions, patching, upgrades, Disaster Recovery testing - Assigning and spreading the project/ticket work accordingly - Addressing aging tickets/requests - Escalation of incidents - Documentation of Process and Procedures - Reporting as needed Projects - Assist with projects as needed Enterprise Health and Outage Monitoring - Performing Health Checks - Requests from application owners - Maintenance/updates/patches - Adopting new features and platforms - Alert board monitoring (keep on top of alerts) - Point of contact for Enterprise Monitoring System Lead Team meetings - Facilitate and coordinate team meetings. - Go over reports for ticket closures, SLAs and projects. - Address outstanding issues and encourage team discussions for planning and resolution. Manage team members - Full HR responsibility from reviews to timekeeping - Workload management - Escalations Hands On - Provide storage and computing administration as required Required Minimum Education:
  • High School Diploma Other or Bachelors Computer Science-Preferred or Bachelors Information Technology-Preferred or Bachelors Other-Preferred
Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s): All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
    Additional License(s) and Certification(s): Advanced Certifications or Vendor Certifications is highly recommended (Microsoft, NetApp, Cisco, etc). Preferred Required Minimum Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience supporting IT Infrastructure. Required and Minimum 2 years In a supervisory role of a technical IT team Required and Minimum 2 years Supporting Windows Servers (2016/2019/2022) Required and Minimum 2 years Experience in a large environment of at least 10k employees Preferred and Minimum 1 year In the health care industry Preferred and Minimum 2 years Working in a highly virtualized environment leveraging VMware Required and Minimum 2 years Supporting storage and servers (NetApp/Dell & Cisco UCS preferred) Required Required Minimum Skills: Server Operating Systems (Microsoft/UX) Medium SAN Storage Systems (Design, Administration, and Security) High Computing / Server troubleshooting High Virtualization/Cloud technologies Medium Enterprise Monitoring Medium Supervisory Skills High
