Job Summary:

The Women's Health Supervisor functions under the direction of the Director of Women's Health. The supervisor will overview day to day activities of the Labor Doula program including support for Women's Health Managers and department Coordinator as described below: Develops relationships with leadership, key stakeholders, and team members to ensure the ability to drive and attain both department specific and system wide goals Oversee the implementation of identified Key Performance Indicators Provide supervision, support, coaching and education to identified Program Doulas Maintain program stats, surveys, and demographic information of program doulas and participants Overall responsibility for maintaining and adjusting doula placements Responsible for the coordination of patient and doula referrals and the facilitation of patient contacts under the direction of the Director Overall responsibility for hospital, patient and doula communications including onboarding preparation and orientation of doulas, patient and doula coordination's, and assistance with program Steering Committee functions Overall responsibility for system Women's contracts including but not limited to: MiMedx Placental Donation and Relias Education Modules.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Doula supervision a. Serves as a point of contact for doulas, providing guidance and resolving any issues that arise. b. Facilitates the doula onboarding and orientation process. C. Continually updates the onboarding content for doulas and identifies learning opportunities for doulas. d. Responsible for the coordination of patient and doula referrals and the facilitation of patient contact under the direction of the Womens' Health Director. e.Overall responsibility for maintaining and adjusting doula placements. f. Direct program and doula oversite, working with Director to address any HR concerns. g. Responsible for monitoring day to day processes while tracking and evaluation output. Quality Management: a. Overall responsibility for overseeing and tracking of doula/patient contacts. b. Aggregates and analyzes data from the nurse, patient, and doula surveys. c. Uses data to improve the doula experience in future learning activities. d. Continually assesses the experience of doulas and patients making program adjustments when necessary. e. Conducts regular team meetings to discuss updates, address concerns, and foster a collaborative environment. Performance Measurement: a. Works closely with Women's Health Data Analyst to track and monitor quality outcomes. b. Reports out data findings at program Steering committee meetings. c. Participates in performance improvement and planning activities. Leadership and Professional Responsibility: a. Remains current with knowledge of best practices related to experiential learning locally, regionally, and nationally. b. Develops relationships with leaders throughout Wellstar to support the fulfillment of key partner needs and requests. c. Engages in timely, customer-friendly communications with doulas, providers, and patients. d. Supervises contract processes and keeps all parties informed of its status. e. Makes key visits to campuses and WMG OB Offices to support collaboration. f. Maintains positive and collaborative relationships with doula organizations and doulas within the community. Women's System Contracts: a. Management of current system Women's contracts and associated EBTRWs. b. Maintenance and updating of contract team members via Workday. c. Regular and timely communications with contract team members. d. Tracking and monthly payments to providers for MIMEDX contract. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Required Minimum Education:

  • Bachelors Health Education or Bachelors Health Promotion or Bachelors Health Science or Bachelors Public Health or Bachelors Psychology

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):

All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support within 30 Days or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor within 30 Days
  • CD - Cert Labor Support Doula

Additional License(s) and Certification(s):

Required Minimum Experience:

Minimum 2 years Two or more years of professional experience within a health or behavioral health system. Experience working with persons and populations with diverse backgrounds; proficiency in health education and health promotion theory and practice; high quality written and oral interpersonal communication skills; competence in public speaking and presenting. Required and Less than 1 year Preferred supervisory or leadership experience in Women's Health. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team. Required Minimum Skills:

Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills; excellent judgement, problem-solving and decision-making skills; as well as strong customer-service skills.
