Operations Manager Workforce Engineering

Job Summary:
The Manager of Operations Workforce Engineering is responsible for the oversight of non-clinical operations, tools, communications and reports inclusive of the Lawson, Smart Square and Kronos Base Scheduler programs relating to non-clinical contract labor. This position will also have oversight of Position Control to include labor and productivity standards, control and reporting. This position also monitors non-clinical labor resource utilization and costs. Will coordinate and complete short and long-term projects as needed.

Resources and Support :
Engages staff in decision making via shared governance processes and partners with others to promote relationship-based care delivery systems that support patient centered care and service excellence while effectively providing leadership and management for a specific business/clinical unit(s). Possesses and uses good negotiation and mediation skills.
Serves as the unit/programs chief retention and safety officer to manage talent and protect/carefully deploy human and material resources through effective use knowledge.
Analyzes and manages financial resources; uses lean and other quality skills to reduce waste and improve performance of operations and clinical systems of care; integrates marketing and communication strategies to advance ones service line and organization as a whole
Interdisciplinary Teamwork and Collaboration
Effectively communicates to diverse audiences on nursing, health care and organizational issues which includes the ability to set standards and hold leaders and staff accountable for performance standards. Proactively establishes a healthy work place by reducing or resolving unnecessary conflict (when necessary, partnering with Human Resources), and promotes achievement of positive team dynamics
Establishes partnerships by employing strong relationship building skills with staff, departments and medical staff by striving to understand others (and situations) and keeping the long view in mind is fair and just using reflective practice skills to monitor self and others performance/interaction skills exercising coaching and guiding skills

Exemplary Practice and Outcomes
1. Leads, develops and identifies initiatives for non-clinical contract labor and all operations involved, quality, operations, process improvements and expansion activities.
2. Creates, manages and executes project scope, schedule, resources, and change management initiatives.
3. Communicates and documents project plan, status updates, business goals and governance plan to team and stakeholders.
4. Work with stakeholders inside and outside the organization on assigned tasks to complete project deliverables.
5. Identifies and manages project risks, issues, and opportunities proactively.
6. Ensures project deliverables are on time, high quality, and within budget.
Project management for system acquisitions and addition of departments within Workforce Engineering.
Provides consultative and strategic support to the Workforce Engineering leadership team regarding goals and initiatives.
Performs other duties as assigned

Required Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's degree in appropriate field Required and

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):

Additional License(s) and Certification(s):
Required Minimum Experience:
Minimum 2 years experience coordinating departmental projects Required and
Minimum 2 years experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting with aspects of staffing and scheduling, to include operations. Required and
Minimum 1 year experience in a supervisory or managerial role leading a team Required and
Required Minimum Skills:
Proficient at a high level Microsoft Office products, especially MS Excel proficient in creating databases, file structures and creating reports or dashboards from this data. High
High proficiency with SharePoint as a resource for internal and external customers High
