Job Summary:

The Business Architect is a key member of the Enterprise Architecture team. The Business Architect provides technical consultation and recommendations for business process design, development design/architecture, frameworks, and/or interfaces during the design and ongoing care of solutions. This role is embedded with business stakeholders to understand their needs, determine process and business pain points, help identify potential solutions, and translate business needs to technical plans. This role is critical in the change management process of vetting and rolling out potential business solutions. The Architect will interface with product management, project management, quality assurance, and various stakeholders across the enterprise to define and deliver technical solutions as well as assist with defining business cases and project business impact from technical projects.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Collaborate with process architects, technical architects, project managers, and business to build solutions that solve customer problems and deliver business value Lead joint design sessions to define requirements and validate implementation directly with business users. Translate business requirements into technical specifications. Contribute to the definition of business cases and project business impact. Directly contribute to solution development in the areas of process definition, workflow automation, business logic, and user interfaces Facilitate delivery of solutions incorporating process execution, decision and exception management across multiple organizational roles and systems/applications Analyze business processes, identify gaps, and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Required Minimum Education:

  • Bachelors Computer Science or Bachelors Business Administration/Management or Masters Business Administration/Management-Preferred

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):

All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

    Additional License(s) and Certification(s):

    Required Minimum Experience:

    Minimum 5 years in business architecture, business process management, or strategic management role Required Minimum 3 years in technical roles such as software engineering, solution architecture, application automation, server hardware maintenance, or network administration Required Minimum 2 years in a leadership role Required Experience with business architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, BIZBOK, or Zachman. Required Proven experience working cross-functionally with teams, stakeholders, and senior leaders to achieve business goals. Required Experience in healthcare industry Preferred Certification in TOGAF, CBAP, or other relevant business architecture certifications. Preferred Familiarity with Agile methodologies or similar frameworks. Preferred Familiarity of navigating healthcare value streams in the context of business architecture solutions and patterns.     Required Minimum Skills:

    Proficiency with software development in C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript (or other comparable languages) High Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
