Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our busy, well-established cardiology team. This full-time, NIGHTS role focuses on the management and coordination of care for critical care cardiology patients in the inpatient setting at Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center in Marietta, GA—just 25 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta. Nights and Weekends will be required.

Responsibilities:

In this role you will collaborate with other health care providers in an interdisciplinary approach to provide care to the patient and family. Perform admissions, transfers and discharges for the cardiology patients. Actively participate in the daily medical management of patients. Become thoroughly competent in all aspects of stress testing. Document, maintain and review patient records, charts, and other pertinent information in our EMR system (EPIC). Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Required Minimum Education: Board Certified/Board Eligible Acute Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
  • Required Minimum Experience: Previous APP Critical Care Cardiology experience preferred.
