Job Summary:

The Digital Health Strategy Manager serves as a leader to promote excellence in virtual patient care. This individual assists in the development, planning and management of the Digital Health and Virtual Health solutions. Ongoing performance management, internal and external trends, changes and opportunities related to Digital Health and Virtual Health Room are fundamental to this role.
This position serves as a partner and advisor to the executive team, a clinical role model, digital health leader, and liaison for the Digital Health program, hospital staff and community. This position also collaborates heavily with hospital leaders, Nursing leaders and staff, providers, technology teams, and hospital operations to facilitate and promote improved efficiencies and outcomes.
This position reports directly to the AVP Virtual Health. This leader will be responsible for program goals and operations regarding aspects of the Digital Health and Virtual Health program. They drive the execution of multiple business plans and initiatives across teams and workgroups. Participates in the governance process, internally and interfacing to peer groups and committees. Understands how to prioritize efforts to achieve the desired outcomes related to remarkable patient and staff experiences. Drives for results and directs the work of others.
Assumes responsibility for data collection and reporting and performance improvement. Provides direction to establish, monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided using Digital Health and Virtual Health tools and processes. An additional focus of this position is to provide vision and ensure the program stays attentive to current and future needs as well as national trends. Examples of this would include routine literature review, best practice sharing, and/or attending pertinent conferences. Assumes responsibility for partnering with department leaders to assist in implementing standards of practice, program policies and procedures and maintaining and improving the quality of patient care delivered. Creates an environment which enables Wellstar to fulfill its mission and goals, fosters communication and a collaborative practice with nursing, physicians and other departments.
Provides cross-functional efforts, delivers objective analysis and insights, and executes on strategic initiatives. Leads new projects, process improvements and customer experience enhancements. Drives business outcomes by building the strategy framework, translates strategies into actionable and quantitative operational plans and manages executions of identified operations activities. Prepares management reports associated with the performance of the program. Present data and reports to varying levels of Wellstar leadership.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Leadership and Change Management: Demonstrates ability to lead, manage, and/or effect change and interacts effectively with Wellstar executive leadership, medical staff leadership, medical directors, senior leadership, and external partners. Drives the execution of various identified priorities and initiatives, through all phases of the program to a successful completion. Builds relationships with key stakeholders across the business to define needs and deliver solutions. Builds consensus with senior leadership by driving high priority, cross functional projects. Owns the operational change and readiness strategy and manages launch activities. Quality Improvement: Maintains flexibility in involving others, negotiating agreements, and breaking down silos to achieve optimal, timely results. Assists to optimize performance and efficiency by contributing to product development, both with internal and external partners. Identifies opportunities by conducting insightful analysis and dashboards to track progress. Responsible for promoting culture of safety. Communication: Works to achieve organizational goals by partnering with management to develop and implement critical strategies. Maintains operational dashboards and reporting suite to track, manage, and provide valuable insights on metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Creates an environment that supports and respects diversity to promote creative problem solving. Is innovative and thinks out of the box. Shows imagination through creative solutions. Displays interest and willingness to try new things; takes risks.

Required Minimum Education:

  • Bachelors Nursing


Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

  • Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact
  • Georgia Driver's License


Additional License(s) and Certification(s):



Required Minimum Experience:

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in healthcare in an acute care clinical setting Required and
Minimum 3 years of telehealth, digital health, and/or healthcare technology operational change management Required and
Minimum 2 years of management with supervision of staff, preferably in a hospital/ambulatory environment. Preferred
