Job Summary:
The Revenue Cycle Analyst Senior serves in an analytical and consultative capacity providing data driven insights and actionable information to drive improvement, increase efficiency, and implement best practices in revenue cycle operations. The Revenue Cycle Analyst Senior will be required to develop high level reporting for management and executive decision making on a routine basis, highlighting key opportunities for improvements. The Senior Revenue Cycle Analyst will be responsible for the development, production and maintenance of reporting for management and executive decision making on a routine basis as well as reporting for operational support. Under limited leadership guidance, the Revenue Cycle Analyst Senior will demonstrate proficiency in technical skills and revenue cycle knowledge that will enable them to assess customer requirements, capture relevant data sets, develop visual solutions, analyze results and develop key customer focused insights. The Revenue Cycle Analyst Senior is an outcomes driven position, the role is focused on providing knowledge an information combined with appropriate customer education that will translate into identified opportunities and reporting that will assist operations in implementing opportunities.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Revenue Cycle Analysis
A. Provides financial and operational data analysis to generate insights that advance Departmental, Entity, and System initiatives and improve performance. Synthesizes information from a variety of internal and external sources to support actionable business decisions. Ensures the highest level of data integrity and security.
B. Identifies revenue cycle trends in the data that drive process improvements for revenue cycle, assigned departments, and the system. Completes enhancements that positively impact the health systems bottom line through increased collections and reductions in the cost to collect.
Customer Support/Delivery
A. Builds strong consultative relationships as a key business partner for information and a data insights advisor to the Business, both inside the revenue cycle division and the IT division of Wellstar Health System. Translates customer data questions and requirements into actionable analytic score cards, dashboards, or reports in support of financial and revenue cycle improvement projects and initiatives.
B. Develops and delivers impactful presentations for senior executives, departmental and/or hospital leaders, and/or at meetings with other key stakeholders. Follows best practices for presenting and utilizes correct template and formatting to provide consistent and easy to understand data analysis.
C. Serves as the revenue cycle expert and liaison for assigned customers, developing solutions to operational and billing functions through collaboration with Revenue Cycle departments.
Technical Support and Expertise
A. Develops and maintains reports, dashboards, and balanced scorecards using visual analytics that provide enhanced insight and improve organizational decision-making. Identifies and keeps abreast of emerging revenue cycle trends, recommending and designing analyses to enhance the enterprises competitive edge. Learns the unique attributes of assigned specialties and departments to assist in improving their revenue cycle.
Education/Training/Development
A. Collaborates with Wellstar IT Division, Operational Leadership and Revenue Cycle Analyst to develop impactful analysis and messaging to assigned customers. Specifically, works with Revenue Cycle Analyst on training and education of end users on self-service reporting tools, including preparation of instructional materials such as PowerPoint presentations, procedural documents, and data dictionaries.

Required Minimum Education:
- Associates Business Science or Bachelors Business Science-Preferred
Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
Additional License(s) and Certification(s):
Epic Cogito within 120 Days Preferred and
Epic Revenue Data Modeling within 1 Year Preferred and
HFMA CRCR within 120 Days Required
Required Minimum Experience:
Minimum 8 years Relevant revenue cycle experience Required
