Job Summary:


The Sr. Business Analyst serves as a resource for the development of virtual health services within WellStar. The position facilitates the development and advancement of virtual health programs. They will need to lead project planning sessions to include systems design, development, and implementation projects for the IT Virtual Health department of WellStar Health System. Creates system specific project plans, task sequencing, goals, deadlines, testing and implementation to the extent to which tasks can be performed concurrently. Develops and maintains associated project plan templates and supporting documentation. Monitors resource utilization and costs.
Provides advanced system level support of multi-user virtual health applications, operating systems, hardware, software, and reporting tools, including installation, configuration, training, maintenance and end user support of complex systems.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:


Develops, tests and coordinates efforts to build/configure Virtual Health solutions to meet the business and clinical needs of each service line
* Analyze workflows and be able to promote process changes to support the proficient use of the system
* Develops project-specific work plans, task sequencing, and the extent to which tasks can be performed concurrently
* Works independently on all routine assignments and stirves to improve skills and problem solving abilities
* Maintains system/applications information/documentation in the centralized tracking system
* Prepares periodic and/or as requested status reports that quantitatively and qualitatively inform of project progress, milestones, issues and results
* Generates and analyzes documents, charts and/or diagrams of business problems to be programmed or addressed via proposed application/software purchases and or development
* Ability to coordinate and integrate project activities across multiple functional lines
* Identifies and manages risk factors associated with project management
* Performs post project reviews and closes project
* Ability to communicate with vendors to improve software utilization
* Escalates to vendor/management when appropriate

Provides advanced level support of multi-user operating systems, hardware and software tools, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of all functions of the WellStar Virtual Health program
* Helps identify, monitor and resolve outstanding system/application problems and issues with systems related to the Virtual Health program
* Be proficient in the Virtual Health program solutions so as to act as the system expert and liaison to end-users. Monitors the team queue as assigned and is responsible to resolve service tickets in a timely manner.
* Performs on-call/after hours support
* Assess situations and provides a professional and timely status under urgent conditions
* Troubleshoots and resolves, or coordinates appropriate resources for hardware, software, and/or connectivity problems, including user access and component configuration
* Provides advanced technical assistance and maintenance support to end-users including serving as first level support when assigned
* Ability to troubleshoot remotely
* Help coordinate education for providers and clinical staff

Perform as liaison with third party vendors as related to upgrades, integration, researching business needs, and escalating reported issues and / or questions.
* Ability to communicate with vendors to improve software utilization.
* Escalates to vendor when appropriate.
* Maintain and update vendor issues lists.

Actively support IS policies, procedures and initiatives
* Attends regular departmental and Towne Hall meetings, and promote / exemplify excellent customer service as aligned with WellStars Standards of Gold
* Enter weekly timesheet in IT tracking system
* Exhibit tact, professionalism, good personal grooming and create a favorable impression to the public and all health system staff through professional dress and good customer service skills
* Participates on committees and attends meetings as needed.
* Participates in special projects as required

Required Minimum Education:


Bachelor's Degree Required or
Equivalent Required and
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field Required

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):


All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

    Additional License(s) and Certification(s):

    Required Minimum Experience:


    Minimum 10 years equivalent work experience in Healthcare in lieu of education will be considered.
    Required and
    Minimum 12 years work experience in healthcare information systems virtual health and/or project management
    Required and
    Experience/understanding of Interface (HL7), DICOM and other healthcare related standards
    Required and
    Experience working with network infrastructure
    Required and
    Experience with business development, business process redesign, benefits realization and project planning Required and
    Staff supervision experience strongly recommended.
