Nursing positions in our New Graduate Nurse Residency Program are posted on the Wellstar career site year-round with cohorts beginning every 6-weeks.
Please apply to the New Graduate RN Residency position only. This one position posting covers all our specialty areas to include Acute Care, Critical Care, Women's Services, and Emergency Department.
Your first week with Wellstar will be spent in our General and Patient Care Orientation, and EPIC (documentation) training.
Beginning your second week, you will attend our Core Sessions that are classes for all new nurses at Wellstar regardless of your specialty area.
The next step is the initiation of your unit orientation with a primary nurse and support of a clinical faculty member. Additionally, you will begin your Specialty Sessions. These are clinically oriented classes that utilize didactic instruction and time in the Wellstar Advanced Simulation Center-these classes are fun, hands-on and interactive.
The final phase of our 12-month New Graduate Residency Program is the Professional Enrichment classes. All New Graduate RNs come to us with career goals in mind. Wellstar is committed to helping each individual nurse achieve their goals. In these sessions, you will be able to explore different career paths-leadership, education, research, clinical advancement, etc.
