Responsibilities

How would you like to work in a changing position where your work is appreciated by many?  We are looking for a flexible Licensed Practical Nurse who enjoys variety and different rewarding work every week.  This is a Full-time opportunity on our float team involving assignment to various Wellstar Medical Group practices within a specified region.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) functions under the direction of the Physician, Nurse Supervisor and/or Practice/Office Manager.  The LPN recognizes patient's needs and symptoms in advance and provides care for the patient under the physician's direction. Includes preparing patient for exams, assisting during treatments, coordinating tests and follow-up care and recording treatment in medical record. The LPN assists with patient and family education and demonstrates competency and skills to serve patients of all ages including neonate, infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations. 

Qualifications

Required Minimum Education:

Graduate from a practical or vocational nursing program.

Required Minimum Licensure/Certification:

Current/active license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia.

Must have a current BLS card from the American Heart Association prior to hire date.
